Countries involved with Tourism Australia
Over the previous decade, there has been an increase in the amount of tourists visiting Australia. With millions of visitors having recently visited our homeland. Inbound tourist have traditionally come from Europe and North America but the fastest growing source of tourists with significant increases have been from the Asian pacific countries, particularly New Zealand. The top source of countries for tourists are often from New Zealand, followed by Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Significant increases of tourists have also occurred from China, New Zealand and Japan. Tourists from European countries such as France, Italy and Ireland have also increased. While New Zealand has seen the most tourist arrivals to Australia, Japan has been Australia's largest financial tourism market.
Recent study has shown that there were 6.1 million visitor arrivals by the end of January, 2013, an increase of 4.1 percent relative to the previous year. There were 495, 000 visitor arrivals during January, 2013, a decline of 1.5 percent relative to January of the previous year.
